Tools Needed:
Fondant; brown, black, orange and yellow (Fat Daddio's ProSeries fondant)
Fondant mat (Fat Daddio's FWM)
Modeling tools (Fat Daddio's MTS)
Fondant rolling rod (Fat Daddio's RPP)
Small round-fluted cutter (Fat Daddio's CKC)
Toothpick or thin dowel

  1. Cut a large circle for the base of your topper out of white fondant.
  2. With orange fondant cut out the mane with the fluted edge cutter. Place on the white base.
  3. With yellow fondant, shape the lion head. When shaping the lion's head, try to get more of a "pear shape", than a round shape.
  4. Make the ears, pinch a small piece of yellow fondant and using your ball roller push into the ears to create a dent.
  5. To create the nose, all you have to do is get a small amount of brown fondant and shape with your fingers however you'd like the nose to look like.
  6. Use your modeling tool to indent the face to create a happy lion.
