Clean Safely without Harmful Chemicals

Every day should be Earth Day. It's important to respect our planet and try to be as gentle as possible. I'm a big recycler. I reuse as much as possible, and I try to reduce the amount of paper I print daily. One more thing that I do is try to use natural cleaners as much as possible. Did you know that white vinegar, baking soda and lemons are some of the best cleaning agents around? Here's three things I do with them in the kitchen.

Natural Cleaning

  • Clean your silicone bakeware with a paste made from white vinegar and baking soda. Let sit 10 minutes, then rinse.
  • Scrub your stainless steel sink. Sprinkle baking soda and scrub with half a lemon. Rinse clean.
  • Refresh your garbage disposal with 1/2 cup baking soda followed by 1 cup of white vinegar. Rinse with boiling water.
