Keep It Simple

The Best Recipe for Brownies
Tools Needed
9 x 13" Removable Bottom Baking Pan (Fat Daddio's POBCC-9132)
Mixing Bowls
Measuring Cups/Spoons
1 cup butter, softened
2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 pinch salt
1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  1. Preheat oven to 325 F. Grease a 9 x 13" removable bottom baking pan. (A regular baking pan will work too.)
  2. In a large bowl, mix the butter and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract. Mix in the flour, salt and cocoa powder just until moistened. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
  3. Bake for 20 minutes or until the top is dry and the edges begin to pull away from the sides of the pan. Let cool. When pan is cool enough to handle, push the bottom through.
  4. For an added twist use cookie cutters to cut shapes. Reserve the scraps for cookie pops.
